Summary

This interview was recorded on the 18th of July 2014 at the Migrants Organise (formerly Ā«Migrant and Refugee Communities ForumĀ») which is based in north west London. Petros Tesfageorgios has been working with Eritrean refugees and asylum seekers since the 1970s. His account gives an insight about the political shift Eritrea went through during the 1990s and describes how the Bologna Festival, the most important festival of the Eritrean diaspora, has changed over the last decades, turning from a Congress in support of the liberation movement (from Ethiopia) into a propaganda event for the dictatorial regime in power.
